Lily Hills Creatures Update Log (February 15, 2026)
I’ve got updates for you on Lily Hills Creatures ๐.

We are approaching the cover reveal (final date on the reveal coming soon), the book is coming this Spring, and the story and series continue to expand. You can help support me and my work by preordering the first book in the series, A Lovely Haunt, today on Amazon.
As you may know from other updates, Lilly Hills Creatures is the Creature Cravings series rewritten, with a bigger focus on world building, more cozy, and additional books. One of these changes focuses on Lily Hills residents being aware of the creatures in their world. These beings are not hidden within Lily Hills, rather Lily Hills is a haven for them, hidden from *everywhere else.*
Witches, gorgons, centaurs, shifters, fairies, demons, and more seek shelter, love, and belonging in Lily Hills. And how does the city adapt to these creatures being common in the city? Some examples include buildings with ledges on them for beings that fly, wards around the park during the full moon, and additional variety at grocery stores for different species needs.
The more I write, the more the side characters and their stories come into focus.
Like Mayor Valen, the gorgon whose snakes watch her back (literally), glaring at anyone who stares at her ๐, and an insecurity focused on a particular witch (Rosie, of course) and her popularity.
Or Beatrice, the grumpy cafรฉ owner, who could be making a lot more money selling her potion-enhanced luck cookies, but keeps a set stock with a reasonable price instead because she is “not a peddler for the misfortunate.”
Mayor Valen is someone I’m paying close attention to because I aim to have her daughter in the spin-off series after Lily Hills Creatures concludes. The rivalry between Rosie and Mayor Valen is particularly interesting to me because it is entirely one-sided. Mayor Valen sees a threat from Rosie over her potential, rather than what Rosie actually wants for her life.
This element is inspired by someone I knew a few years ago, who thought I was in the way of something she wanted, when actually she was the only one in her way. That person ended up self-imploding the situation, which is not what I want for Mayor Valen’s future.
When we focus on what makes ourselves unique and live in our zone of genius, without the influence of others, we all win. I wish everyone had that awareness, because life can be a lot less painful when you know it’s not you vs them, it’s you vs you.
Many of these characters and stories are evolving in a series of short stories that I’ll publish in between book releases.
Oh, I haven’t mentioned the short stories yet, have I? Those reading the blog are getting the scope that those only on my social media are not. Good thing you are here.
See you soon, Little Creature. What are you most looking forward to this month?
